Romantic Period Of Music Empty Romantic Period Of Music

The Romantic period was from about 1815-1910. There was more freedom in music during this period; lyrical melodies, richer harmonies, continued expansion of the orchestra including the introduction of brass. Programme music became common. Some popular composers of this time were Franz Liszt, Frederic Chopin, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Piotr Tchaikowsky.
