Johann Sebastian Bach

Johann Sebastian Bach was born on March 21, 1685. He was taught by his father to play the harpsichord and violin, as well as the organ by his uncle. At the age of 18, Bach sought employment as an organist. After performing, he was offered the position immediately. In 1714, Bach became the leader of the Count Orchestra. During his tenure, he composed profusely for the organ and became one of the greatest German organists. In 1721, Bach married Anna Magdalena. In 1723, they moved to Leipzig and Bach worked as Director of Choir and Music in Leipzig. Bach had 20 children and died on July 28, 1750.
